Having always wanted to work with animals from a young age, I joined Shinfield Vets in 2010 as part of my work experience and have since qualified from Middlesex University in 2015 with a first class BSc Hons degree in Veterinary Nursing. I have also recently become a clinical coach and find it extremely rewarding to be able to pass on the skills I have learnt to our students.
I find all aspects of nursing enjoyable but have a particular interest in surgical nursing. I have undertaken a course in small animal anaesthesia and I am hoping to complete an emergency and critical care course in the near future as I am eager to further my knowledge in this area.
Outside of work I am a member of the Reading and District netball league and enjoy playing in tournaments at the weekend. At home I have a mischievous cat called Tilly, who was brought into the practice as a stray at only a couple of days old. Since then my passion has grown and I have spent many sleepless nights’ hand-rearing kittens!
