Our Standards

For healthy and happy pets

Our reputation has been built on giving exceptional levels of devotion and care to our patients and their owners in Reading. Whilst we are always internally focused on maintaining these high standards, it is important to note that we also voluntarily partake in external monitoring schemes, to assure our clients of the care levels they can expect.

We are a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Accredited Practice

This is the only scheme in the UK that quality assures veterinary practices and their facilities. Taking your pet to an accredited practice you can have peace of mind that your pet will receive the highest levels of veterinary care and meets stringent standards set by the RCVS.

The Practice Standards Scheme is a voluntary initiative, where a practice will be rigorously inspected and assessed for standards of facilities and equipment, hygiene levels, standards of care, staff training and operating standards.

Being part of the scheme means your standards must always be high, as spot-checks are also carried out regularly.

The scheme focuses on how a practice can use their resources to create positive outcomes for patients and clients alike.

We are a RWAF accredited Rabbit Friendly Practice

We are proud to be on the Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund's Rabbit Friendly Vet List.  The RWAF is Britain's largest organisation for rabbit lovers. The rabbit friendly list was started to help fellow rabbit owners find a vet who could offer high standards of care to their pet.

This is our commitment to always take an active interest in following best practice when treating our rabbit patients. Rabbits are very rewarding pets and patients alike, but they do need very specific levels of knowledge and care to provide the best for them.
